NETCOM is a non-profit training organization and the Telecommunications / Low-voltage training arm of the IBEW Local 213. Our courses are open to any individual or company looking to improve the quality of their product through crew training. Our mandate is to offer the finest skilled trades training possible, supporting official accreditation and a strong Communications industry.

IBEW Local 213 represents approximately 6000 members in British Columbia. We invite everyone to register and create an account. Once registered, you can enroll in any course that becomes available.

FOA Certified Fiber Optic Specialist - Outside Plant - November 5 to 9, 2018

NETCOM Vocational Training Association ran the FOA Certified Fiber Optic Specialist - Outside Plant - November 5 to 9, 2018. Students were in attendance from RMI Communications. This type of training helps students learn the industry standard method of bringing outside plant fiber optic cable into splice cases then preparing it for splicing. Instructors Art McGill and Kenneth Mah are both ITA Accredited CATV Journeyman Technicians who have the knowledge and experience to help students learn the right way of working on telecommunications infrastructure to ensure long life and ease of maintenance.
